Introduction to Portrait Drawing with Dave Sheridan

9 am - 4 pm
Explore the art of portraiture led by Brockville Artist Dave Sheridan. Participants will learn how to capture likeness, expression, and character through various drawing techniques such as gesture drawing, geometric rendering and charcoal sketching. With guidance on proportion, structure, and light, artists will work from a reference or live demonstration while receiving individualized feedback throughout the session.
Suitable for a range of skill levels, this workshop offers a supportive environment to build confidence, refine technique, and bring portraits to life with greater accuracy and feeling.
Limited to 15 participants
Materials list: sketchbook (min.16"X14"), HB-4B pencils, eraser, 12" ruler, 8X11" photo reference with wide variety of tonal values.
