Rachel Legault
Rachel Legault is a self-taught artist and her medium of preference is oil painting whether it is with brushes or pallet knives. She loves to paint landscapes that “speak” to people.
She says: “My love for landscape painting stems from my love of nature…It’s breathtaking and timeless beauty; it’s bright or fleeting light and the overwhelming feeling of peace and tranquility it can convey.
I want to move the onlooker, to make them feel like they could just step into my canvas and linger for a few moments while enjoying the view and the peacefulness”.
Her work has been showcased annually since 2015 in various local art group shows and galleries..
Rachel has been one of the selected artists for “Before the Summer Fine Art Show in Gananoque, ON in 2019, 2022 and 2023.
She was also selected to participate in the Wall Candy Noir Exhibit in Ottawa, ON in 2022 and 2023, an upscale fine art exhibition featuring 50+ professional artists from Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and regions in between.
