This series of 4 classes is for beginners looking for the ‘forgiving’ medium, and for advanced painters who are developing their own style of painting by expanding their skills and materials.
This course encourages independent creativity while introducing body-friendly and environment-considerate practices of oil painting. Learn various techniques of the old masters and the moderns for inspired approaches to painting.
Through the student’s personal choice of subject, concept and presentation, the instructor will guide the individual’s process from vision to execution. A healthy studio practice will be taught; no solvents will be used, clean-up with soap and water. Underpainting may be done in watercolour pencil, watercolour or acrylic.
