Christmas in Rosewood is a comedy play by Peter Paylor about a best-selling author, Dr. Sheila Shuman, who is stranded in a small town on Christmas Eve and must navigate the quirky locals and her own unhappiness. The play explores themes of happiness and community, with a story that unfolds on Christmas Eve at the local Elk's Hall, featuring a diverse cast of characters and events that lead to self-discovery.  

Dr. Sheila Shuman, a renowned author and happiness expert, is stuck in the town of Rosewood during a blizzard on Christmas Eve. While there, she finds herself at the Elk's Hall with a group of unhappy locals, including Esther, who is stuck at the funeral parlor with their late ex-husband's family. The play focuses on the characters' journey of finding happiness and realizing they are in the right place, despite their initial frustrations.
